FlutterFlow Launches AI-Powered UI Designer, Promises Instant App Screen Generation
FlutterFlow today unveiled FF Designer, an artificial intelligence tool that transforms natural language prompts into fully functional app screens in seconds. The new capability, accessible at designer.flutterflow.io, aims to eliminate repetitive UI work for developers and designers.
"FF Designer isn't just a novelty—it's a practical productivity tool that turns ideas into usable interfaces immediately," said FlutterFlow product lead Elena Martino. "Our users can now describe what they need, like a 'fitness dashboard with stats and progress charts,' and get a structured, visually appealing layout ready to customize."
Background
FlutterFlow is a low-code platform for building mobile and web apps with Google's Flutter framework. Until now, users manually designed each screen using drag-and-drop components. FF Designer builds on the concepts first explored in Dreamflow, an internal FlutterFlow experiment that showed how AI could assist real-world development workflows.

The tool integrates directly with existing FlutterFlow projects. After generating a screen, developers can modify components visually, adjust layouts, colors, and spacing—all without leaving the familiar FlutterFlow interface.
Key Features
AI-Powered UI Generation
Describe your app screen in plain English, and FF Designer produces a complete, ready-to-use UI within seconds. Examples include "Create a fitness dashboard with stats and progress charts" or "Build a login screen with social media buttons."
Visual Editing (Like FlutterFlow)
- Modify components visually
- Adjust layouts, colors, and spacing
- Customize elements using the same drag-and-drop interface
- Zero learning curve for current FlutterFlow users
Easy Integration with FlutterFlow
Generated designs import directly into any FlutterFlow project, and assets can be exported for other workflows. This seamless pipeline moves projects from idea to design to development faster.

What This Means
FF Designer signals a broader shift: AI is moving from experimental to essential in app development. Designers can prototype faster, developers skip repetitive UI work, and teams shorten the path from concept to execution.
Startup founders building MVPs, UI/UX designers, and FlutterFlow developers will benefit most. "Instead of spending hours on screens that might change, you get a strong starting point in seconds," Martino added. "Then you refine it—AI boosts creativity without replacing it."
Who Should Use FF Designer?
- App developers using FlutterFlow
- UI/UX designers looking for rapid prototyping
- Startup founders building MVPs
- Anyone prototyping ideas quickly
FF Designer is available now at designer.flutterflow.io. The move reflects a growing trend where low-code platforms integrate AI to accelerate production—FlutterFlow is positioning itself at the forefront of that wave.
